WHAT IS GYROTONIC® TRAINING?

GYROTONIC® training is a revolutionary new concept in fitness. GYROTONIC® training combines the flexibility and calmness of yoga, the grace of ballet, the focus of the martial arts, the body sculpting of weight training, and the core strength and stretching benefits of Pilates.

GYROTONIC® training produces long, lean, flexible, toned muscles, increases joint mobility and range of motion, develops coordination, and simultaneously stretches and strengthens the body with minimal effort. GYROTONIC® training consists of a progression of three-dimensional, flowing movements. For those in search of an alternative to traditional exercise, GYROTONIC® training is a low impact expansion fitness system that can be practiced by everyone regardless of age or fitness capability. The work is ideal for the man, woman, senior, athlete or dancer, seeking health, fitness, stamina, strength and flexibility. GYROTONIC® training develops core strength, reconditions the nervous system and improves circulation. Juliu Horvath developed this amazing therapeutic body conditioning system. It incorporates his experience as a dancer, gymnast, swimmer, and his knowledge of the body in movement.

WHAT IS GYROKINESIS®?

Using the same principles as the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM®, GYROKINESIS® works in a group class format on stools and mats. The class moves continuously, articulating and mobilizing the spine in fluid, undulating motions. The work is based on Yoga postures, breathing patterns and energetic principles. You will work the joints and muscles of your back, shoulders, pelvis, and legs in sitting, lying and standing positions, working both gently and vigorously. It stimulates the nervous system and organs, and brings oxygen to the blood and muscles.
